Gunluk Cottage is on a working farm just outside Brompton by Sawdon. It's one of a few cottages here, but it's quiet and you've got your own space. The views are good, just open fields.
It sleeps five, in three bedrooms. There's one bathroom. It's a 4 Star place, which means it's comfortable and has what you need. The cottage is old, from the 1800s, so the doors are low in a couple of places and the stairs are a typical cottage style.
You're on the edge of the North York Moors National Park. It's very straightforward to get into for walks. There's a village shop about five minutes' walk away. The local pub is a couple of miles.
Pickering is close, about a ten minute drive. You can get the steam train from there into the moors, it goes to places like Goathland. Thornton-le-Dale is also nearby and nice for a wander.
If you drive for half an hour you can be in Whitby or Scarborough. Dalby Forest is about twenty minutes away for cycling or walking.
For facilities, it's got a wood burner, a dishwasher, and a washing machine. There's a TV and WiFi. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and a highchair. Parking is right outside. No pets, I'm afraid, because of the farm.
