Evergreen Cottage is in Sinnington, near Pickering. It's mid-terraced, next to our house. It sleeps four, two bedrooms upstairs and one bathroom. The rating is 4 Star, which means it's comfortable, not luxurious.
The garden is enclosed, which is good if you're bringing dogs. We allow two. There's a patio with a table and a barbecue.
This is good walking country. You can get straight onto paths from the village into the North York Moors. There's a pony trekking place here too. For fishing, there's local river fishing, and the North York Moors National Park site has good information. The local pub is decent, about 100 yards away.
If you want a day out, Pickering is close. Helmsley and Castle Howard are about a 20 minute drive. York is roughly 45 minutes. The coast, like Whitby or Scarborough, is about an hour's drive.
Inside, there's a woodburning stove for cooler nights, a TV, WiFi, and a dishwasher. We include bedding and towels. There's a washing machine, a cot, and a highchair if you need them. Bikes can be stored.
