Evergreen Cottage
Evergreen Cottage is the middle one in a small stone terrace. We live next door, so we're around if needed. It's on the main street in Sinnington. The view out the back is fields.
It's got two bedrooms, so sleeps four. One bathroom. It gets a 4 Star rating, which is about right. It's comfortable and you've got everything you need. The wood burner works well. The garden is enclosed, so it's secure for dogs. You can bring up to two.
The pub is about 100 yards away. It's good. They do food. The nearest shop is two miles away in Kirkbymoorside, so you'll want to bring a car.
For getting out, you can walk straight from the cottage into the countryside. There's a pony trekking centre in the village. It's about a 20 minute drive up onto the North York Moors proper. Pickering's close, with the station for the steam railway. Castle Howard and Helmsley are about half an hour away.
The coast takes a bit longer. Scarborough is about 45 minutes, Whitby maybe an hour depending on traffic. York is 45 minutes to an hour's drive.
In terms of stuff here, it's all listed. Washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, TV. Bicycle storage if you bring bikes. Bedding and towels are included. We provide a cot and a highchair.
