Magpie Cottage is on the outskirts of Filey. It's a bungalow, so everything's on one level. That's handy if stairs are a problem. You've got two acres of garden around you, some of it landscaped and a good bit of it just left wild. It's very quiet.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms and two bathrooms, which is useful with four people. The rating is 4 Star. It's clean and well looked after. We allow up to two dogs.
You're about a mile from Filey itself. It's a proper old-fashioned seaside town. The beach is sandy and long, about five miles of it, and you've got the Brigg, which is a big rocky headland for a walk. The North York Moors National Park is a short drive inland if you fancy a change from the coast.
Scarborough is about six miles south. That's got everything: more beaches, the castle, theatres, shops. In the other direction, you're not far from places like Whitby and Robin Hood's Bay. Easy day trips.
There's a shop and a pub a mile away. The cottage has a washing machine, a dishwasher, and wifi. TV. Parking right outside. Bedding and towels are included, and we've got a cot and highchair if you need them.
