Eldin Hall Cottage 2

Eldin Hall Cottage 2 is one of four cottages next to some old restored waterworks. It's peaceful, and they're fairly new buildings. You get your own enclosed decked area out the back, with garden furniture. There's a shared garden too, with a play area for children.

It sleeps six. Three bedrooms, two bathrooms. It's got a 3 Star rating, which is about right. It's clean and works well, but it's not a luxury finish. The layout is open plan.

The owners live about ten minutes away. They'll try to meet you when you arrive, and you can call them if you need anything.

You're between Cayton village and Cayton Bay. The beach is less than a mile away. It's a short drive up the coast into Scarborough itself. Filey, Flamborough, and Bridlington are all easy to get to. The clifftop walks are part of the Cleveland Way, which is spectacular. The RSPB at Bempton Cliffs is nearby if you like seabirds. York is under an hour by car, or you can get a direct train from Scarborough.

There's a shop, a pub, and a restaurant about half a mile away in the village.

The place has a washing machine, dishwasher, and WiFi. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and highchair if you need them. You can bring up to two dogs. There's parking right outside.

If you're looking for other things to do, the North York Moors National Park and Visit Yorkshire sites are useful.
