Oaklands View
Oaklands View is in Scarborough, on South Cliff. It's a second-floor apartment, so there are stairs to climb. You get a really good view of the castle and the sea from the front windows.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, one bathroom. It's a 4 Star place, so it's comfortable and everything works. We provide the bedding and towels.
You're right next to the Crown Spa hotel. You can pay to use their swimming pool and spa if you want to. The Italian Gardens are just there, a nice walk down to the beach. There's a cliff lift to bring you back up if you don't fancy the walk.
The seafront is about five minutes away on foot. It's the traditional South Bay with the pier, amusements, and fish and chips. Everything you need, a shop, a pub, places to eat, is within a couple of hundred yards.
In the town, the Stephen Joseph Theatre is close by if you like plays. For a day out, Whitby is about forty minutes north by car. The North York Moors are on the same road. Heading south, you've got Filey and Flamborough Head within half an hour. The RSPB sanctuary at Bempton Cliffs is good for seeing puffins. York is about an hour's drive if you fancy a city trip.
For facilities, there's a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, and TV. We've got a cot and highchair if you need them. Sorry, no pets.
