Haydock Cottage
Haydock Cottage is in Scalby, which is on the edge of Scarborough. It's a bungalow, so all on one level. That's good if you don't want stairs.
It sleeps four. Three bedrooms and two bathrooms. It's a 4 Star place, which means it's comfortable and well looked after. It's got an enclosed garden with a patio, so it's private. There's parking right outside.
The cottage is part of Scalby Lodge, which is owned by the Duchy of Lancaster. There are a few other cottages around, but you have your own space.
You're about a ten minute drive from Scarborough centre. The North Bay beach is closest. The Open Air Theatre is there if you fancy a show. Scarborough Castle is worth a visit for the views.
For a proper day out, Whitby is about half an hour up the coast. You can get the steam train from there into the North York Moors. The North York Moors National Park website has good walking routes.
Right on the doorstep, you can pick up the Cleveland Way path. It runs along the cliffs. The RSPB at Bempton Cliffs is about a twenty minute drive. It's busy in season.
Inside, it's got a woodburning stove, a washing machine, dishwasher, and WiFi. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and a highchair if you need them. There's also an electric vehicle charger.
There's a local pub in Scalby village. It's a short walk. No pets, sorry.
