Twin Bays House is in Scarborough, on Castle Road. It's a big Georgian house, Grade II listed. You walk in and the first thing you notice is the view. You can see both the North and South Bays from most of the windows. The castle is right above you.
It sleeps ten people. Five bedrooms, three bathrooms. It's a 4 Star place, so it's well looked after but it's still an old house. The stairs are a mix. Some are narrow, some are steep, and there's a spiral one. Just so you know.
The garden is on the cliff top. It's got a hot tub and that 180-degree view of the castle and the North Bay. You're a five minute walk from the town centre and about ten minutes from the beach.
There's a shop and pubs about 200 yards away. For the beach, North Bay is sandy and has the Sea Life centre. The harbour's interesting to wander around. You can get boat trips from the South Bay.
If you want to go further, Robin Hood's Bay and Staithes are about half an hour's drive up the coast. The North York Moors are inland, also about 30 minutes. There's good walking there, or you can get the steam train from Pickering.
It's got the things you'd need: parking, WiFi, washing machine, dishwasher. Bedding and towels are included. You can bring two dogs. We leave a cot and highchair there too.
