Jasmine Cottage
Jasmine Cottage is on the edge of Scalby. That's about three miles north of Scarborough town centre. It's one of a group of cottages in a row. You get your own bit of garden at the back. It's enclosed, which is good if you've got kids or a dog.
The cottage sleeps four. Two bedrooms, both have their own bathrooms. So three bathrooms in total, which is unusual, but handy. It's got a 4 Star rating. That means it's well kept and comfortable.
Scalby village is a 15 minute walk away. There's a couple of pubs, a cafe, and a shop. It's a proper village.
The location is the main thing. You're right next to the North York Moors National Park. You can walk straight onto the moors or into Forge Valley woods. The other way, you're three miles from Scarborough beach. You can see the castle and the sea from the front.
Scarborough has all the usual seaside things. The Sea Life Centre, theatre, amusements. You can get boat trips from the harbour.
If you drive, Whitby and Robin Hood's Bay are about half an hour up the coast. The North Yorkshire Moors Railway is a good day out. The Cleveland Way footpath runs along the coast here too.
Facilities: there's a washing machine, wifi, and parking. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and a highchair if you need them. The garden has a patio, furniture, and a barbecue. No pets.
