Over Across

Over Across is in Lind Head, North Yorkshire. It's a stone-built cottage on what was a farm. The main thing is you get access to the on-site pool and games room. It's about two miles outside the village of Cloughton.

The cottage sleeps six. Three bedrooms, one bathroom. It's a 3 Star place, so it's clean and functional. The layout is a bit unusual. You go down two steps into the kitchen straight from the front door. The living room and one twin bedroom are on the ground floor, along with the bathroom. The master double and another twin room are upstairs.

The upstairs twin room has a cabin bed, which is only really suitable for children. The ceilings are beamed, so mind your head in places. The stairs are standard cottage stairs.

Outside, there's a patio with furniture. The shared pool is kept at 28C. You can use the sauna for an extra charge. The games room has a pool table and table tennis. There's also a BBQ area with picnic benches.

Cloughton village has two pubs that do food. The nearest bit of coast is at Hayburn Wyke, which is a woodland walk down to a secluded cove. There's a pub there too. For walks, you're near the Cleveland Way and the Cinder Track, which go to Ravenscar, Robin Hood's Bay, and Whitby.

Whitby is a 20-25 minute drive. Scarborough is about the same. The North York Moors National Park and Dalby Forest are inland, both within a 30 minute drive.

Facilities: all the basics are included - WiFi, TV, washing machine, bedding, towels. There's a cot and highchair. Parking is on site. One well-behaved dog is allowed.
