Mayville House
Mayville House is on a residential street in Scarborough, about a ten minute walk from the North Bay beach. It's a terrace house. You can park right outside on the street.
It sleeps six people in three bedrooms. There are two double rooms and one with two single beds. There's one bathroom with a shower over the bath. It's a 4 Star place, which means it's comfortable and well-maintained.
The living room faces the street, so you see people going past. The dining room is separate, which is good if you've got kids watching the telly and you want a bit of quiet. There's a washing machine and the bedding is included.
It's handy for Peasholm Park, you can walk there in a few minutes. That's nice for a stroll or to watch the boats on the lake. The Open Air Theatre is next to it. The Sea Life Centre is at the far end of the North Bay beach.
The South Bay, with the arcades and the harbour, is about a twenty-five minute walk away, or you can drive and park. Alpamare water park is about a ten minute drive.
The North York Moors are about a thirty minute drive inland. You can go to Whitby or Robin Hood's Bay along the coast in half an hour or so. For something different, Dalby Forest is good for walking and cycling, and Flamingoland is about forty minutes drive away.
