Coastguard Cottage Paradise
Coastguard Cottage is in the Old Town part of Scarborough. It's just up from the harbour and the promenade. The house used to be part of the coastguard station. It's been done up well.
It sleeps eight. Four bedrooms, two bathrooms. It's got a 4 Star rating, which means it's comfortable and well-equipped. You can see the sea over South Bay from the front windows on all three floors. From the back, you look up at the castle.
The town centre is a short walk. There are shops, restaurants, and the Stephen Joseph Theatre. The main beaches, North Bay and South Bay, are close. The promenade is good for long walks.
If you want to get out, you're close to the North York Moors. You can get the steam train from Pickering to Whitby. The RSPB site at Bempton Cliffs is about a ten minute drive. Flamingo Land theme park is half an hour away by car. York is about an hour's drive, or you can get the train.
At the house, there's a south-facing decked area outside. It gets the sun. There's a washing machine, a dishwasher, WiFi, and a TV. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and a highchair if you need them. Parking is on site. No pets, sorry.
