Carr House
Carr House is a farmhouse on our working farm. You'll see us going about our business, but the house itself is private and detached. It's about two miles back from the coast.
It sleeps eight. Four bedrooms, two bathrooms. It has a 4 Star rating, so it's comfortable and well-equipped. Very family-friendly. The garden is big, enclosed, and has a summerhouse. We've got apple trees. You're welcome to use the barbecue.
It's a good spot for getting to things. Scarborough is a few minutes in the car. It's a proper seaside town with all the usual stuff: arcades, fish and chips, the Sea Life Centre. The Open Air Theatre gets big names in summer.
The closest good beach is Cayton Bay, about a mile and a half away. It's popular with surfers. Dogs are allowed all year round, which is handy.
If you head inland, you're quickly into the North York Moors. Pickering is about half an hour for the steam railway. Dalby Forest is good for cycling walks. York is under an hour's drive if you fancy a day out there.
In terms of what's here: parking right outside. Enclosed garden. Washing machine, dishwasher, wood burner. Bedding and towels are included. It's wheelchair accessible, with grab rails and a seat in the shower. We can take up to two dogs.
