Retro Retreat

Retro Retreat is a ground floor flat in Filey. It's right in the town but only a short walk from the beach. The name comes from the decor, it's all done up in a 1970s style. It's clean and functional, but the furniture and the crockery are deliberately from that era. If you remember the seventies, it'll be a nostalgia trip. If you don't, the kids will probably find it amusing.

It sleeps seven. There are three bedrooms and two bathrooms. One of the bedrooms has triple bunk beds. There's a stair lift for access if you need it. The garden is private and enclosed, with a couple of apple trees.

You're about five minutes' walk from the beach. Filey beach is sandy and long. The town centre is about the same distance the other way. It's a proper seaside town, so there are fish and chip shops, cafes, and a few pubs.

For walks, you can head out along Filey Brigg. The RSPB Bempton Cliffs are about a 15-minute drive. That's where the seabirds are, puffins and gannets and such. The Yorkshire Wolds are inland if you fancy a change from the coast.

Scarborough is roughly 20 minutes south by car. Bridlington is about 25 minutes the other way. York is under an hour if you want a day out in the city.

Facilities: there's parking, WiFi, a washing machine, and a dishwasher. Bedding and towels are included. We allow up to two well-behaved dogs. There's a cot, highchair, and stairgate if you need them.
