Langford Villa
Langford Villa is a ground floor apartment on The Crescent in Filey. It's a couple of minutes from the cliffs and the beach. The building is from about 1830, so the walls are thick and it's quiet. The owner sometimes stays in the flat upstairs, but you have the place to yourselves.
It sleeps six. Three bedrooms and two bathrooms. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's comfortable and well looked after. The garden is shared, but it's mainly for you to use. There's parking on the drive for one car.
You're a hundred yards from the corner shop and a pub that does food. The beach is about a five minute walk down the hill. It's a long, sandy beach, good for a proper walk.
Filey itself is a proper old-fashioned seaside town. It's not too big. Glen Gardens are right behind the property if you want a green space without going far.
The Cleveland Way path runs along the clifftop here. You can walk south towards Bridlington and Flamborough Head, or north to Scarborough. The path to Scarborough has great views. Filey Brigg is at the north end of the beach, a good spot for a walk.
For a day out, Bempton Cliffs RSPB reserve is about a fifteen minute drive. You can see puffins there in season. Scarborough is twenty minutes by car, Whitby is about forty five. York is under an hour's drive. It's a straightforward route.
Inside, there's a woodburning stove for cooler evenings. WiFi, TV, dishwasher, washing machine. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and a highchair if you need them. No pets.
