Esplanade Crescent is an apartment on the second floor in Scarborough. It's on South Cliff, so you look straight out at the sea from the front rooms.
It sleeps six, in three double bedrooms. There are two bathrooms, one has a steam shower cabin which is quite a big unit. It's a 3 Star place, so it's comfortable and clean but not luxurious. The space is good, it doesn't feel cramped.
The main thing people ask about is parking. You park on the road outside. It's free and unlimited, which is unusual for here. You just have to find a space, it's first come first served.
You're around the corner from the Italian Gardens. It's a nice walk down from there to the seafront and the Scarborough Spa, which puts on shows. The marine drive is flat and goes for miles along the coast, past both bays. You can walk it or get the open top bus back.
Scarborough has the usual restaurants and pubs. There's an open air theatre in summer and the Stephen Joseph Theatre, which does a lot of Alan Ayckbourn's plays.
Within about half an hour you can drive to Filey, Flamborough Head, or Bridlington. Bempton Cliffs, which is an RSPB reserve, is good for seeing seabirds on the cliffs.
York is an hour's drive away, or you can get the train straight into the centre. It's a good day out.
For the facilities, it's got a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, and TV. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and highchair if you need them. No pets.
If you're planning to explore the area, the North York Moors National Park website is useful.
