The Haven is an apartment on South Cliff in Scarborough. It's on the first floor of a Victorian house. It sleeps four, with two bedrooms and two bathrooms.
It's a 5 Star place, which means it's well-finished and comfortable. There are good mattresses and pillows. The main room is open plan, so the kitchen, dining area and living space are all together. You get a side view of the sea from the windows, and you look out over one of the garden squares.
The flat comes with things like a washing machine, dishwasher, and WiFi. The TV has Netflix. The stairs up to the apartment are typical for these houses, so they're a bit steeper than modern ones.
You're a few minutes' walk from the beach on South Bay. There's a hotel around the corner where you can pay to use their spa, gym, and pool if you want. For the beach, you can walk down or take the cliff tramway, which is the oldest in the country.
There are pubs, restaurants, and shops within a five-minute walk. The Italian Gardens are close by for a stroll.
For walking, you're right on the Cleveland Way. You can follow the Marine Drive along the front. To the north, Robin Hood's Bay and Whitby are about a 30-minute drive. To the south, Filey and Flamborough Head are within half an hour. The RSPB site at Bempton Cliffs, where you can see puffins, is a short drive away.
In Scarborough itself, there are two big theatres, the Stephen Joseph and the open-air one.
If you want a day trip, York is about an hour's drive, or you can get the direct train from here.
