The Haven is a two-bedroom apartment on South Cliff in Scarborough. It's on the first floor of one of those tall Victorian houses. You can see the sea from the side windows, and you look out over one of the garden squares.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, both with decent beds, and two bathrooms. It's got a 5 Star rating, which means it's well fitted out and comfortable. There's an open-plan living area with kitchen, dining and sofa space all in one room. It's a good size.
The facilities are straightforward: dishwasher, washing machine, WiFi, TV with Netflix. The bedding and towels are included. There's no parking with the apartment itself, you'd use the on-street parking or a public car park nearby.
You're a few minutes' walk from the beach. To get down to the sands you can walk or take the cliff tram, which is the old funicular railway. There's a pub about 250 yards away, and shops and restaurants are just round the corner. There's also a hotel nearby where you can pay to use the spa and pool.
For walking, the Cleveland Way runs right along the coast. The Marine Drive is part of it. To the north, you've got Robin Hood's Bay and Whitby about half an hour's drive. To the south, Filey and Flamborough Head are within 30 minutes. The RSPB Bempton Cliffs nature reserve is a short drive away if you want to see the seabirds.
In Scarborough itself, there's the Stephen Joseph Theatre and the open-air theatre. York is about an hour away by car or you can get the direct train.
