Freya Cottage

Freya Cottage is a detached house in a quiet courtyard near the church in Flamborough. I live nearby. It's in the middle of the village, so the shops and pubs are a few minutes' walk away. The beach is about a fifteen minute walk.

It sleeps six. There are three bedrooms and one bathroom. It's got a 3 Star rating, so it's clean and comfortable but it's not a luxury place. The garden is yours to use. It's a patio with a table and chairs.

You can bring one well-behaved dog. There's a dishwasher, a washing machine, Wi-Fi, and a TV. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and highchair.

The village is a proper old fishing place, though there's less of that now. The pub does food. There's a good fish and chip shop. For a bigger town, Bridlington is about ten minutes in the car. It's a classic seaside resort with a harbour, sandy beaches, and all that.

For walks, you've got the cliffs right here. The path goes north towards Bempton Cliffs, which is an RSPB reserve. It's famous for its seabirds, especially puffins in spring and summer. Going south, you can walk to Danes Dyke, which is a wooded nature reserve. It's all managed by the Yorkshire Coast team.

If you want a day out, Sewerby Hall in Bridlington has grounds and a small zoo. Filey is about a twenty minute drive south. Historical places like Scarborough Castle or Burton Agnes Hall are within half an hour.

Freya Cottage can be booked together with Christine Cottage next door if you're a bigger group.
