It's called Home Bay. It's our 1920s bungalow on the cliff at Flamborough. You look out over the golf course and the headland. You can see the lighthouse, and the sea's right there.
It sleeps six. Three bedrooms, with two bathrooms. One's an ensuite. It's got a 4 Star rating, so it's well-equipped and comfortable. It's a dormer, so the ceilings in the two front bedrooms slope quite a bit. You get used to it.
There's a proper dining room with a big table, and a conservatory at the back where you can sit. The garden is enclosed, which is handy if you're bringing a dog. We allow one.
You can walk straight from the house down to the beach at Flamborough Head. It's all rocks and pools and caves. The coastal path is right there too, for walks to North Landing or South Landing. There's a café about 150 yards away, and a restaurant up the road.
The village is a mile and a half inland. It's got a Co-op, a chemist, a couple of chip shops, and some pubs. You can get most things you need there.
If you drive, you're close to a lot. The RSPB Bempton Cliffs are just along the coast. Bridlington is six miles south for a proper sandy beach. Filey and Scarborough are up the coast. The North York Moors are about half an hour's drive away.
It has the usual stuff: WiFi, TV, washing machine, dishwasher. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and a highchair if you need them. Parking for two cars on the drive.
