Ploughman's Cottage

The cottage is on Flamborough Head, about a mile from the lighthouse. It's a conversion from an old farm building, maybe 200 years old. You get your own bit of patio out the front with a table and chairs. The view is good, just over fields towards the sea.

It sleeps three. Two bedrooms and one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating, so it's comfortable and well-equipped. The main room is open plan, kitchen and sitting area together. It has underfloor heating downstairs, which keeps it warm.

You're about a fifteen minute walk from the village. There's a shop and a couple of pubs there that do food. The local one is about three quarters of a mile.

The coast path is right there. It's about a twenty minute walk down to the North Landing beach, which is sand and chalk with rock pools. The lighthouse is worth a look, and you can go up it in the summer. The cliffs are spectacular, especially at Bempton. The RSPB at Bempton Cliffs is about a ten minute drive. It's one of the best places in the country to see seabirds like puffins.

Bridlington is about four miles away. Filey is about eight miles, and Scarborough is about fifteen. All within half an hour if you fancy a change of beach or a pier. There's a clifftop golf course just outside the village.

The facilities are all there: WiFi, TV, washing machine, dishwasher. Bedding and towels are included. There's parking right outside. You can bring up to three dogs.
