Fisherman's Friend
Fisherman's Friend is in Bridlington, right across the road from the beach. It's a ground floor apartment.
It's two bedrooms and sleeps four. Has a four star rating. It's clean and practical. There's a ramp into the conservatory, so it's suitable for wheelchair access. The courtyard out the back is enclosed.
You're literally over the road from the sand. The beach is shingle at the top but sand when the tide's out. It's a working town, so you get the harbour and the seaside stuff without it feeling too touristy.
The place belongs to the same owner as the Hotel Expanse, which is next door. You can use their restaurant, bar and entertainment if you want to. There's a pub about a hundred yards away as well.
For facilities, it's got what you'd expect. Washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, TV. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and a highchair if you need them. Parking is on site. You can bring one dog.
If you want to walk, Danes Dyke Nature Reserve is along the cliff tops. You can get the land train from there up to Sewerby Hall if you'd rather not walk. Bridlington itself has the usual seaside shops, a couple of golf courses, and a leisure centre with a pool.
For a day out, you can drive into the North York Moors National Park. York is about an hour's drive. Hull is a bit closer, maybe 40 minutes. The Yorkshire Wolds are right on the doorstep for quieter walks.
