Osborne Cottage is on Bagdale, which is a ten minute walk from the harbour in Whitby. It's a tall, terraced house. The main door is on the ground floor and it goes up four storeys.
It sleeps six. There are three bedrooms and two bathrooms. One bathroom is an en-suite to the master bedroom. It's got a 4 Star rating. It was refurbished a few years ago so everything works and it's clean. The stairs are quite steep, as they are in these old houses.
You have a small enclosed courtyard at the back. It gets the sun in the afternoon. There's a kitchen on the ground floor with a table. The living room is on the first floor. It's got a TV and comfortable seating.
The harbour, shops, and pubs are about a quarter of a mile away. Whitby's a proper working town. The beach is about three quarters of a mile. You can walk along the sands to Sandsend if the tide's out.
For walking, the Cleveland Way footpath runs right through town. You can follow it along the coast. The Cinder Track is good too, it's an old railway line that goes to Robin Hood's Bay. The North York Moors are about a twenty minute drive inland.
If you're planning days out, these sites are useful: North York Moors National Park and National Trust York Moors and Coast.
Facilities: there's a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, and a cot and highchair if you need them. Bedding and towels are included. There's no private parking, but there is a public car park very close by. No pets, sorry.
