Rose and Crown Yard is in the middle of Whitby. It’s a semi-detached cottage in a quiet little yard, so you get peace and quiet but you’re right in the town.
It sleeps four, with two bedrooms and one bathroom. It’s got a 4 Star rating. The furniture is mostly bespoke, made from wood in a nautical theme. The second floor bedroom has wooden beams.
There’s no parking at the cottage itself. You’ll need to use one of the pay and display car parks in town.
You’re about 25 yards from a shop, a pub, and a restaurant. The water’s edge and the main streets with their independent shops are a five minute walk. The beach is about 350 yards away.
For walks, you can pick up the Cleveland Way along the coast. The cinder track to Robin Hood’s Bay starts just outside Whitby. Inland, you’ve got the North York Moors National Park. Grosmont and Goathland are worth a visit, and you can get a steam train from Whitby. Scarborough is about a 30 minute drive.
The cottage has a washing machine. Bedding and towels are included. A cot and highchair are there if you need them. You can bring one well-behaved dog.
