Frankland House

Frankland House is in Whitby, right near the train station. It's a tall Victorian townhouse built for ship officers. Sleeps twelve, six bedrooms, five bathrooms. It's got a 4 Star rating, which means it's well looked after and comfortable.

The house has been done up. It's clean, plenty of space, good for a big family or a group. The living room windows look out over the town, the abbey, and the sea. You can see the steam trains on the North Yorkshire Moors Railway from there.

You're two minutes from the middle of Whitby. So you can easily walk down for fish and chips, or to the harbour, or onto the beach. The stairs in the house are typical for the age, so they're a bit steep and winding.

Facilities: washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, TV, cot and highchair if needed. Bedding and towels are included. No pets.

For things to do, the North York Moors are right there. The coastal path is good for walking. Places like Robin Hood's Bay and Staithes are a short drive away. The steam train goes from Whitby to Pickering.
