Frankland House

Frankland House is in Whitby, near the town centre. It's a Victorian terraced house, built in 1868. It used to be a ship officer's house.

It sleeps twelve people. There are six bedrooms and five bathrooms, which is handy for a big group. It's got a 4 Star rating. The owner did it up to a high standard, so it's comfortable. The living room has big windows with a good view over the harbour and out to the sea.

You're about two minutes' walk from the middle of town. That means you can hear the North York Moors Railway steam trains going past. They're close. It's part of the place.

Whitby's all there: the abbey, the harbour, fish and chip shops, the beach. The coastal path is right there for walking. The North York Moors National Park starts just outside town.

A short drive up the coast gets you to Sandsend, Staithes, Runswick Bay, or Robin Hood's Bay. All different, all worth a look.

Inside, it's got a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, and TV. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and a highchair if you need them. No pets, sorry.
