Flowergate House is in Whitby. It's an apartment on an upper floor. You can see the harbour and the North Sea from the front windows. You get a good view of the town and the abbey from up there.
It sleeps six people. Three bedrooms, one bathroom. It’s a 4 Star place, so it’s comfortable and well looked after. The heating works, which is good for when it's windy off the sea.
You’re a few minutes walk from everything. The swing bridge to the old town is just down the hill. There are shops, cafes, and pubs all around. The 199 steps up to the abbey are nearby if you want to walk them.
The place has a washing machine, a dishwasher, and WiFi. Bedding and towels are included. There’s a cot and a highchair if you need them. No pets allowed.
For things to do, the beach is about three quarters of a mile away. Good for sand and rock pools. The North York Moors National Park starts just outside town. For local history, Whitby Abbey is the main site.
Within half an hour you can drive to Robin Hood's Bay, a good coastal walk. Scarborough is about 40 minutes south along the coast. Dalby Forest is inland, maybe 25 minutes away, for cycling. York is further, over an hour's drive.
