Stardust is our place in Whitby. It’s a detached house right on the front, with its own driveway.
It sleeps six. There are three bedrooms, all on the ground floor. Two of them look straight out to sea. Each bedroom has its own bathroom, which is handy. One has a walk-in wardrobe and a shower ensuite.
Upstairs is just the living room. It’s under a vaulted ceiling with sofas and chairs. There are two single sofa beds up there for extra kids if you bring your own bedding. The main bathroom is also on this floor. It has both a separate shower and a slipper bath.
Downstairs, the kitchen is open plan with the dining area. There’s a big table and a large leather sofa in there. Glass doors open out to a fully enclosed garden with a lawn and a patio.
You can walk into Whitby town centre easily. The beach is a few minutes away. There’s a pub about 500 yards up the road.
If you’re driving, Robin Hood’s Bay is about ten minutes south. Staithes is about twenty minutes north. Both are old fishing villages. The North York Moors National Park starts just inland. The steam train from Whitby to Pickering is a good way to see it.
The coast path, the Cleveland Way, runs along the cliffs right past the town. The beach is dog-friendly year-round. We accept one well-behaved dog.
Facilities are all included: WiFi, TV, washing machine, dishwasher, cot, highchair, stairgate. All bedding and towels are provided. It has a 4 Star rating.
