Stardust

Stardust is a house in Whitby. It's on the sea front, over on the West Cliff side. A detached house. You get a bit of driveway parking at the front.

It sleeps six. Three bedrooms on the ground floor. Two look out to sea, and the third has an ensuite shower. There are three bathrooms altogether, which is handy. The one upstairs has a slipper bath and a shower. Upstairs is just the living room. It's got a vaulted ceiling. There are two single sofa beds up there, for extra children if you bring your own bedding for them.

The kitchen is open plan with the dining area. There's a big sofa in there too. Glass doors open out to the garden. It's fully enclosed, which is good for a dog. Mainly lawn with a patio.

It's a 4 Star place. It's comfortable and well-finished. It feels spacious.

There's a pub about 500 yards away. The beach is about a mile down the hill, maybe a fifteen minute walk. Whitby itself is all there: the harbour, the old town, the Abbey on the East Cliff. It's a proper working town with the trawlers. Lots of pubs and cafes, many of them dog friendly. The North York Moors National Park website has good information.

For walks, the Cleveland Way goes right along the cliff top. You can walk to Sandsend in one direction. Robin Hood's Bay is about six miles down the coast if you're driving. Staithes is about ten miles north.

You can get the steam train from Whitby to Pickering, right into the moors. That's run by the North Yorkshire Moors Railway. Dalby Forest is about a forty minute drive inland.

For facilities: it's got a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, TV. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and highchair if you need them. One well-behaved dog is welcome.
