Esk View is a semi-detached house in Whitby. It's on the edge of town, up on the bank by the old railway line. The name is because you can see the River Esk and if you look towards the harbour entrance from the living room window, you get that view. It’s a good spot for watching boats come and go.
It sleeps four. Three bedrooms and one bathroom. It’s a 3 Star property, so everything works and it’s clean, but it’s not luxury. The stairs are a bit steep at the top, just so you know.
The house has a small garden area at the back with a bench. You can walk down into the town centre and to the beaches in about ten minutes. Coming back is uphill, obviously. For a day out without the car, you could walk the coastal path from here.
Whitby itself has everything you need. The abbey is up the 199 steps. The Cleveland Way passes through. If you drive, Robin Hood's Bay is about ten minutes away. Staithes and Sandsend are along the coast too. Scarborough is about half an hour south.
There is parking on the drive for one car. The house has a washing machine, Wi-Fi, a cot and highchair if you need them. Bedding is included. No pets, sorry.
