Hill View Cottage

Hill View Cottage is a two bedroom bungalow in Sleights. It's detached, so it's quiet. You get two bedrooms, a bathroom, and parking on site. It's got a 4 Star rating, which is decent. Everything's clean and works.

The big thing is the view. You look out over the fields towards what they call Echo Hill. It's very open. The garden is enclosed, so it's safe if you've got kids or a dog, but no pets allowed sorry.

Sleights itself is a small village. You can walk to a supermarket, a butcher, and a pub that does food. It's about four miles to Whitby, which is where you'll go for most things. Whitby has the harbour, the abbey up on the hill, the shops, and the beach.

If you like walking, you can start straight from the door. The North York Moors are right there. The coastal path is close too. You can drive to Sandsend or Staithes along the coast, both are within about half an hour.

For a day out, Goathland is about six miles inland. That's where the Heartbeat village is. You can get the steam train from there across the moors to Pickering. The North York Moors National Park website has good walking routes. Scarborough is south, about a 40 minute drive.

Inside, it's got what you need: a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, and a TV. There's a cot and a highchair if you're bringing a small child. All bedding and towels are included.
