Bailey's Retreat is one of the apartments in Sneaton Hall, which is a big old manor house. It's got its own parking spot out the front. There's a shared garden area with good views over the fields towards the coast.
It's for four people. Two bedrooms and a bathroom. Plus there's an extra bath in the main bedroom. It's a four star place, so it's comfortable and well looked after. The stairs up to the first floor are wide and fine, just be aware you're on the first floor.
You're in Sneaton village. There's a pub about 200 yards away that does food. Beacon Farm is just up the road. They do ice cream and have things on for kids at different times of year.
Whitby is the main draw. You can walk it from here via Ruswarp, which takes about an hour total. Ruswarp itself has a little steam train, boat hire on the river, and a café. Whitby's got everything you'd expect: the abbey, fish and chips, plenty of shops. The North York Moors National Park starts just behind you. The Cleveland Way and the Cinder Track are right there for walking or cycling.
Along the coast, places like Robin Hood's Bay and Staithes are about a twenty minute drive. Scarborough is maybe half an hour. For steam trains, you'd go to Grosmont, which is about fifteen minutes away.
In terms of what's here, you've got WiFi, a TV, a washing machine. All the bedding and towels are included. We allow up to two dogs. There's no private garden, just the shared one.
