The Hideaway Low Hawsker
The Hideaway is a cottage in Hawsker, on the North Yorkshire coast. It's semi-detached and sleeps two people. There's one bedroom and one bathroom. We've recently done it up, so everything's clean and works properly. It has a 4 Star rating.
Outside, there's an enclosed garden. It's a good space for a dog. There's a table and chairs and a barbecue. You get one parking space on the drive.
Inside, it's all on one floor, so there are no stairs. The bedroom has an ensuite shower room. It's got a washing machine and Wi-Fi. Bedding and towels are included.
The village is quiet. The local pub is about a five minute walk away. They do food. The nearest proper shop is about a mile away in High Hawsker, so you'll need to drive for groceries.
Whitby is about three miles along the coast. You can drive it in ten minutes. The Abbey is up on the cliff, and the town has all the usual shops and places to eat. The North York Moors National Park starts just inland from there. Robin Hood's Bay is about three miles in the other direction. It's a steep walk down to the beach from the village.
Right from the cottage, you can pick up the old cinder track. It's a disused railway line that's now a flat path for walkers and cyclists. It goes all the way to Whitby one way and Scarborough the other.
We allow one well-behaved dog.
