Coachman's House is in Whitby, just off Church Street. It's in the middle of things but set back a bit, so it's quieter than you'd think. It's over three floors.
It sleeps four in two bedrooms, with one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating, which means it's well kept and comfortable. The stairs are the usual cottage kind, so watch your head going up to the top bedroom.
The beach is a few hundred yards away. There's a pub about twenty yards from the front door and a restaurant even closer. The famous abbey and St Mary's Church are right there too, up the 199 steps.
You can get to the North York Moors easily from here. The North York Moors National Park is great for walking or driving through. Robin Hood's Bay is a nice walk along the Cinder Track, or a short drive. Staithes is about half an hour up the coast.
If you're here with kids, or if it rains, the Sealife Centre in Scarborough is about a 40 minute drive. The National Trust looks after a lot of the coastline nearby, like Ravenscar.
Facilities: there's a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, and TV. Bedding and towels are included. You can bring two dogs. Parking is on the street, nearby.
