Stanton House is an apartment on Victoria Terrace in Whitby. It's first floor so there's a shared staircase up to the door. You’ve got a view of the Abbey ruins from the kitchen window, and you can see a bit of the sea from the big bay window in the living room.
It sleeps five. Three bedrooms, one bathroom. The bathroom has both a shower cubicle and a separate bath. It’s got a four-star rating. The furnishings are nice, it's comfortable.
You’re about five minutes' walk from the harbour and the main part of town. The beach is about ten minutes on foot. It's a Georgian terrace so the rooms are tall, but it's a normal flat layout inside.
There's parking on the street, which you need a permit for. I leave one for you. The wifi works.
For things to do, you're right in the middle of it. The 199 steps up to St Mary's Church and the Abbey are just there. The English Heritage site for Whitby Abbey has visiting details. Boat trips and the beach are walkable.
If you drive, Robin Hood's Bay is about fifteen minutes south. The North York Moors National Park authority site has good walking routes. The heritage railway from Pickering to Whitby is worth a trip if you like steam trains.
Facilities: bedding and towels are included. There's a washing machine. I can provide a cot and a highchair if you need them. No pets. The heating and electricity are included in the price.
