Sneaton Hall Whitby is an apartment on the ground floor of the old hall itself. It's Grade II listed. It sleeps two, one bedroom, one bathroom.
The place is really spacious. The terrace looks out towards the sea and the Abbey headland. You can see Whitby from here.
Inside it's got a roll-top bath, which people seem to like. There are high ceilings. Because it's in the old hall, the windows are original style, so they're tall and let in a lot of light.
The bedroom is large. It's got one big bed, so it's better suited for a couple. We've put telescope in the living room because you get a good view of the coast.
You're in Sneaton, which is about three miles outside Whitby town centre. There's a shop and a pub about 200 yards from the hall, which is handy. For the beach, you'll need to drive, it's about three miles to the closest one.
Whitby itself has the Abbey, the harbour, and all the usual seaside things. The walk along the Cinder Track towards Robin Hood's Bay is popular. The North York Moors are on your doorstep for walking. You can get onto the Cleveland Way from here. The North York Moors National Park website is good for planning walks.
Within about half an hour you can drive to places like Robin Hood's Bay, Sandsend, or Goathland for the steam railway. Scarborough is along the coast if you want a bigger town.
Facilities: there's a washing machine, Wi-Fi, TV, and parking on site. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and a highchair if you need them. No pets.
