Cleveland House
Cleveland House is in Whitby. It's a three-storey end-terrace, just up the hill from the harbour. It's about a ten minute walk down into the centre. The walk back is uphill, just so you know.
The house sleeps six in three bedrooms. Two are on the first floor: a double and a twin that can be made into a double. The third bedroom is in the converted attic, up another flight of stairs. It's another twin that can be a double. There's a bathroom on the first floor and another small one in the attic.
It was all renovated in 2023. Everything's new and it's a 4 Star place, so it's comfortable and well finished. You get a parking bay out front on the shared drive, and a small artificial lawn area with a table and chairs.
Whitby's right there. You can walk down for fish and chips, or to the beach. The 199 steps up to the church and the abbey ruins are at the harbour. Boat trips go from there too.
If you drive, Robin Hood's Bay is about fifteen minutes south. Staithes is about twenty minutes north. For a bigger day out, the North York Moors are inland. You can drive, or get the steam train from Pickering or Grosmont. North York Moors National Park has good information.
Facilities are all included: wifi, TV, dishwasher, bedding and towels. It's family friendly, we've got a cot, highchair and stairgate. You can bring up to two dogs.
There's a lockable connecting door to the apartment next door if you're booking with a larger group.
