Old Mill Cottage is in Hawsker. It's about three miles from Whitby. It's semi-detached and sleeps two. One bedroom, one bathroom.
It's a three star place. That means it's comfortable and clean, not luxurious. The open fire is nice when it's cold. The bedroom looks out over fields at the back.
There's a small garden at the front. Parking is right there.
You can walk to the local pub in about five minutes. They do food. The shop is a bit further, maybe a fifteen minute walk.
The coast path is close. It's about a forty minute walk along the old cinder track into Robin Hood's Bay. Whitby is a short drive or a decent walk away. The 199 steps up to the Abbey are exactly that: 199 steps. The view from the top is good.
You're on the edge of the North York Moors. For walking maps and information, the North York Moors National Park website is useful. The steam railway from Pickering to Grosmont is about a twenty minute drive inland.
The facilities are what you'd expect. There's a washing machine, WiFi, and a TV. Bedding is included. You can bring up to two dogs.
