Rascal's Rest is in Whitby, but it's up in a quiet residential area. It's a bit of a walk down into the town centre, about 10 minutes to the cliff tops.
It sleeps five. There are three bedrooms. Two bathrooms, which is handy. One is a single room on the ground floor with its own shower. Upstairs there's a king room and a twin room. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's comfortable and well looked after.
The living room has a wood burner and a few games. The kitchen is separate and has what you need. Outside is a small enclosed courtyard. It's not a garden, more a paved bit, but it's secure for a dog.
You can bring one dog. We provide a stairgate and a cot if you need them. Bedding and towels are included. There's WiFi and a washing machine.
From the house, you can walk down to the beach and the harbour. The 199 Steps up to St Mary's Church and the Abbey ruins are there. It's a steep climb but the view is worth it. For walking, the Cleveland Way coastal path is right there, and the North York Moors are on the doorstep.
Within about half an hour's drive, you've got places like Robin Hood's Bay, a proper old fishing village tumbling down to the sea. Goathland is on the North York Moors Railway line. Scarborough has the castle and the open air theatre.
