Rascal's Rest is in Whitby, in a quiet bit of town about a ten minute walk from the harbour. It's an end-terrace house. It sleeps five. There are three bedrooms. One single is downstairs with its own shower room. Upstairs there's a king-size and a twin. There's a family bathroom upstairs too.
It's got a 4 Star rating, so it's comfortable. The living room is a good size with a wood burner. There's a separate kitchen and a dining table. Outside is a small walled courtyard. It's enclosed, which is handy if you're bringing a dog.
You're close to the cliff path for walks. The beach is down the steps. The town centre and harbour are a proper walk, maybe fifteen minutes, mostly downhill. It's uphill coming back.
For a day out, the North York Moors are on the doorstep. You can drive into the national park or get the steam train from Pickering. The North York Moors National Park website has walking routes. The National Trust looks after bits of the coast nearby too.
Scarborough is about forty minutes south by car. They've got the castle and an open-air theatre.
In terms of what's here, there's WiFi, a washing machine, bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and a stairgate if you need them. One well-behaved dog is allowed.
