Abbey Peep
Abbey Peep is an apartment on the edge of Pannet Park in Whitby. It's part of a Georgian house. There's a parking space right outside, which is a big deal because parking in Whitby can be difficult.
It sleeps four people. Two bedrooms, two bathrooms. One bedroom has a kingsize bed and an en-suite shower, the other is a double. There's also a main bathroom with a jacuzzi bath. It's got a 4 Star rating. The furnishings are good quality, it feels comfortable and well kept.
The living room has a unusual feature. There's a very small window with a magnifying glass in it, perfectly framed to give you a tiny view of Whitby Abbey from across the park. That's where the name comes from.
You can walk to pretty much everything from here. The beach is about half a mile. Shops, pubs, and restaurants are a few minutes away. For a proper walk, you can get straight onto the Cleveland Way along the cliffs.
Within about half an hour's drive you've got Robin Hood's Bay, Staithes, and Sandsend. The North York Moors National Park starts just outside town. The steam railway runs from Whitby to Pickering, Goathland station is on that line.
Facilities: it has WiFi, a TV, a dishwasher, and bedding and towels are included. There's on-site parking. No pets allowed.
