Abbey View
Abbey View is an end-terraced townhouse in Whitby. It's up the hill from the harbour, so you get a view of the water and the abbey from the upstairs windows and the little balcony.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms and one bathroom. The rating is 5 Star, which means it's been done up to a high standard. It's a Victorian house, so the stairs are the usual steep, narrow sort.
The kitchen is open plan and well equipped. There's a wood burner in the living room on the first floor. The bathroom has a bath and a separate walk-in shower. The main bedroom has a door out to a small glass balcony. It's a good spot to look at the view.
You're about a five minute walk down to the swing bridge, the pubs, and the shops. The beach is about half a mile. Whitby has everything you need: fish and chips, the 199 steps up to the abbey, boat trips. The North York Moors National Park starts just outside town.
You can walk along the coast to Sandsend, or drive to places like Robin Hood's Bay and Staithes. The Cleveland Way footpath runs right past. Scarborough is about a 40 minute drive south if you want a bigger seaside day out.
For facilities, it has a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, and TV. Bedding and towels are included. A cot and highchair are there if you need them. You can bring up to two dogs.
