Rosemount Lodge
Rosemount Lodge is on the edge of Whitby. It's a modern lodge, sat above a double garage, so you go up some external steps to get in.
It sleeps three. Two bedrooms, one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's clean, comfortable and well looked after. It was built into the slope, so the main living floor is up the steps. The stairs inside are fine.
You get two parking spaces on the driveway. Out the back there's a decked area with a table and chairs. It gets the sun in the morning.
Inside, it's open plan downstairs. The kitchen has a breakfast bar. The living area has two sofas and a dining table. There's a separate toilet there too. Upstairs, the main bedroom is a good size with a double bed. The second room has a single bed. The bathroom has a bath with a shower over it.
You can walk into Whitby town and the harbour in about ten minutes. That's where all the shops, pubs and fish and chip places are. The Abbey is up the 199 steps from there.
For a day out, Robin Hood's Bay is about a ten minute drive. Staithes is about twenty minutes. The North York Moors National Park starts just inland. The Cleveland Way coastal path runs right past Whitby if you want a walk.
What's included: all the utilities, WiFi, bedding and towels. There's a washing machine. The garden is enclosed. Sorry, no pets.
