The property is called Hidden Gem, but you'll find it on Rose and Crown Yard in Whitby. It's a one-bedroom cottage that sleeps two. It's been done up recently.
The stairs are steep. It's over three floors, so be prepared for that. The bedroom's at the top with a view over the rooftops. There's a living room on the middle floor and the kitchen and dining area are on the ground floor. It's got a 4 Star rating, which means it's comfortably furnished and well-equipped. There's a shower room, a washing machine, and WiFi.
You can bring up to two dogs. Bedding and towels are included.
Location is the main thing. You're right in the middle of the old town. The pub is literally five yards from the door. Shops, cafes, and the harbour are all on your doorstep. The beach is about a quarter of a mile away.
If you walk, the Cleveland Way coastal path goes right through Whitby. You can walk to Sandsend beach at low tide. The Captain Cook Museum is here, and the replica of the Endeavour is in the harbour.
