The Haven is in Fylingthorpe, which is the village just up the hill from Robin Hood's Bay. It's a terrace cottage, but you've got your own garden at the back.
It sleeps six. Three floors: two bedrooms on the first floor and a twin room up on the second. There's one bathroom, which has a roll-top bath with a shower attachment. It's a 4 Star place, so it's comfortable and has things like the wood burner and WiFi. The stairs to the top floor are a bit steeper, as you'd expect.
The garden is a good size, mostly lawn with some decking. You can bring one dog. All the bedding and towels are there, and there's a washing machine.
In the village there's a shop and a pub, both a few minutes' walk away. The real draw is you're about a ten minute walk down the hill to Robin Hood's Bay itself. The beach is shingle and rock pools. The whole place is all winding lanes and old smuggling history. The Cleveland Way path runs right along the cliff tops there.
Within half an hour you can drive to Whitby, obviously. Scarborough is about the same. For a different day out, the North York Moors are right on the doorstep. Goathland is up there, or you can just drive inland and find a walk.
