This place is called Beacon. It's in Ravenscar, on the North Yorkshire coast.
It's for two people. One bedroom, one bathroom. It's a four star rating. It's comfortable and well kept.
You get your own parking spot right outside. There's a private patio and a shared lawn garden. It's all pretty sheltered up there.
Inside is open plan downstairs. Kitchen area, sofa, table. Everything you need, nothing too fancy. Upstairs is the bedroom with a proper double bed. The ceiling's beamed. There's a bath with a shower attachment.
You can bring one dog. There's a washing machine and a dishwasher. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and highchair if you need them.
It's attached to another cottage called Bay. There's a connecting door inside, so you can book both together if you're a bigger group.
The location is the main thing. Ravenscar is on the cliffs. It's quiet. You're right on the Cleveland Way. That path runs for miles along the coast. The old railway line, the Cinder Track, goes to Whitby one way and Scarborough the other. It's good for cycling.
There's a steep path down the cliff to the bay below. You can see seals there, often quite a few of them on the rocks.
Whitby is about a 20 minute drive. It's got the abbey, the harbour, all the usual stuff. Robin Hood's Bay is closer, maybe 10 minutes. It's a proper old fishing village built into the cliff. Staithes is about half an hour north, another one of those picture-perfect fishing harbours. Scarborough is about half an hour south.
You're on the edge of the North York Moors National Park too. So you've got the coast one way and the moors the other.
