Badger Cottage is in Lind Head. That's just outside Scalby, about three miles from Scarborough. It's a converted stone barn in the middle of fields. You get a good view. It's quiet.
It's for two people. One bedroom, one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's comfortable and everything works. It's on a farm with a few other cottages, so you might see other guests around, but you have your own garden.
Scalby village is about a mile away. There's a shop and a couple of pubs that do food. The coast path is accessible from here if you want to walk into Scarborough. The North Bay beach is about three miles by car.
You're right in the North York Moors National Park. Good for walking straight from the door. Dalby Forest is close for cycling. The old railway line from Scarborough to Whitby is good for a flat walk with views.
Scarborough is ten minutes in the car. It's got the castle, two beaches, and the Alpamare water park. Whitby is about half an hour north. Filey is twenty minutes south.
For things to do further out, you've got Castle Howard about forty minutes west. The steam train from Pickering to Grosmont is good, that's about thirty-five minutes. The North York Moors National Park website has walking and cycling routes.
What's here: an enclosed garden, parking, a washing machine, WiFi, and TV. Bedding is included. We can provide a cot and highchair. There's bike storage. We don't allow pets.
