Barn Owl Cottage is in Burniston, which is just inland from Scarborough. It's a converted stone barn on a farm, so you're looking out over fields. It's quiet.
The cottage sleeps four. Two bedrooms and one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating, which means it's comfortable and well-equipped. Everything's on the ground floor, which is handy.
You're right on the edge of the North York Moors National Park. You can walk straight out onto the moor from here. Scarborough's about three miles away if you want the beach or the town.
The coast is easy to get to. Filey and its Brigg are about twenty minutes south. Whitby is maybe forty minutes north up the coast road. The old railway line to Whitby is good for walking or cycling.
For a day out, you've got the steam train from Pickering, or Castle Howard. Goathland up on the moors is where they filmed Heartbeat.
Facilities: there's a washing machine, WiFi, TV, and parking right outside. The garden is yours to use. We provide all bedding. There's a cot and a highchair if you need them. Sorry, no pets.
