The Beach House is in Scarborough, on the North Bay side. It's a big detached house, painted white. You can see Peasholm Park from the front.
It sleeps ten, which is a lot. Five bedrooms, five bathrooms. Four of the bedrooms have their own bathroom attached. There's also a bedroom on the ground floor, which is useful.
The house has a 4 Star rating. It's a smart, modern place. The dining table is one big piece so everyone can sit together.
You're a few minutes' walk from the North Bay beach. It's sandy and usually quiet. The beach cafe and surf hire are down the hill. There's a shop and a pub about five minutes away.
Peasholm Park is right opposite. It's a good park. There's a lake with boats, a putting green, and sometimes they do the little naval battle show in the summer. The open air theatre and the Alpamare waterpark are a short walk down the hill.
Scarborough has two bays. The North Bay, where you are, is the quieter one. The South Bay has the arcades and harbour. The castle is on the headland in between.
If you want to drive out, you're close to the North York Moors National Park. The coast path is good. Whitby, Filey and Flamborough are all within half an hour. York is about an hour's drive.
Facilities: it has a washing machine, dishwasher, Wi-Fi, and parking for a couple of cars. The garden is enclosed. You can bring up to two dogs. Bedding and towels are included.
