Killerby Old Hall

Killerby Old Hall is in Killerby village, just inland from the coast. It's a detached manor house, very big and old. It says it dates from around 980 AD, originally a Saxon fort. It feels that way in parts, but it's been done up to a modern standard.

It sleeps ten people across four bedrooms. The good part is they all have their own bathroom. There's a double, a king, a super king, and a family room with a king and two singles.

Downstairs is spacious. There are two living rooms, one with a wood burner and a TV. The dining room is separate and grand, with a big table under a chandelier. The kitchen is high spec and has a small table with views over the garden.

The garden is enclosed. It has a hot tub and outdoor seating. There's a utility room and plenty of on-site parking.

Location wise, you're about a mile and a half from the coast. Filey is to the south, Scarborough to the north, both about ten to fifteen minutes in the car. Filey has a nice beach and promenade. Scarborough is busier, with two bays.

Heading north up the coast is Whitby, about forty minutes. You've got Robin Hood's Bay on the way too. Inland, Pickering is the gateway to the North York Moors. It's where the steam railway starts. Dalby Forest is nearby for walking and cycling.

Further out, Castle Howard is about a forty-five minute drive. York is around an hour away.

Facilities include the hot tub, washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, and TVs. Bedding and towels are included. There's no swimming pool on site. No pets.
