Squirrel Cottage

Squirrel Cottage is in Filey, on a street off the main road. It's about a two minute walk into town.

It takes six people. Four bedrooms, but it's only got the one bathroom. There are two doubles and two singles. The stairs are quite steep, which is normal for a cottage from the 1860s. It has a 3 Star rating, so it's comfortable and clean.

There's a small enclosed courtyard out the back. It's not a garden, more a place to stand and hang washing. It has a tap and a dog shower, which is useful if you've been on the beach. You can park your car right outside the front door.

The house has a wood burner that runs on gas. There's a TV with Netflix. The kitchen has a dishwasher. There's a washing machine and tumble dryer in a utility room.

You're allowed to bring up to two dogs. There's a cot and a highchair if you need them.

There's a pub at the end of the street. The beach is a short walk away. Filey has a proper sandy beach and a long promenade. For a longer coastal walk, you can go out to Filey Brigg.

If you drive, RSPB Bempton Cliffs is about ten minutes away. You can see puffins and gannets there. Flamborough Head is about twenty minutes. The North York Moors are under an hour. Scarborough is a fifteen minute drive, Bridlington is about twenty.
