Captain's Retreat

Captain's Retreat is in Primrose Valley, within The Bay Holiday Park near Filey. It's a holiday home. Detached.

It sleeps six, with three bedrooms and two bathrooms. It's one of the newer ones on site. It has the 4 Star rating, which means it's well equipped and comfortable.

You can bring up to two pets. There's a small private patio area with seating. The garden isn't enclosed, so you'd want to keep dogs on a lead outside.

The downstairs has the open plan living, kitchen and dining. It leads out to the patio. The kitchen is modern. There's a dishwasher and washing machine.

Upstairs there's the main bedroom with an en-suite shower room, a twin room, and a family bathroom with a bath and a separate shower. The stairs are standard for this type of property, not steep.

Because you're on The Bay Holiday Park, you have access to their facilities. They don't cost extra. There's a leisure centre with a pool and a gym, a pub, and a kids' play area. There are also tennis courts. You can walk straight from the park down onto the beach.

If you want a shop or a different pub, it's about a 30 minute walk along the cliff path into Filey itself. That's got a good beach, some shops and cafes.

If you drive, Scarborough is about 15 minutes south. Whitby is a bit longer, maybe 45 minutes north. For birdwatching, RSPB Bempton Cliffs is very close. The National Trust Yorkshire Coast has a lot of the local walks.

Bedding and towels are included. They provide a cot and highchair if you need them. There's parking next to the property.
