Twenty Two Sea
Twenty Two Sea is on the Bay holiday village, near Filey. It's an end terrace house, quiet part of the estate. You get views across the park to the sea.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms: one kingsize, one with bunk beds. It's a 4 Star, so it's well-fitted. The stairs are open-tread, so mind your step.
The main room is open plan. Big windows, bi-fold doors out to a covered patio. There's a wood burner for cooler evenings. The kitchen has a dishwasher and washer/dryer. There's a downstairs loo under the stairs.
Upstairs, both bedrooms have sloping ceilings and big windows that open onto a full-length balcony. It faces south, gets the sun. The bathroom has a shower over the bath.
Outside, the patio is covered, with a table and a brick BBQ. It's a suntrap. You can bring two dogs. There's a dog meadow on site and miles of beach nearby.
The Bay village has a shop, a pub that does food, and a leisure club. That's got an indoor pool, a gym, a sauna and steam room. You can pay to use it.
Filey town is a few minutes' drive. Proper old-school seaside. Arcades, tea rooms, fish and chips. The beach is about a mile from the house.
For walking, the cliffs at Flamborough are spectacular. The National Trust looks after parts of it. The North York Moors are about half an hour inland. North York Moors National Park has walking routes. Whitby, for the abbey and the coast, is about 40 minutes north. York is about an hour's drive.
Facilities included: all bedding and towels, parking right outside, WiFi, TV. The leisure club access is extra, you pay on site. The house has level access at the front door.
