Martin
It’s called Martin. It’s in Filey, one of three new places built around a little courtyard. They’re upside down, so the bedroom and bathroom are on the ground floor and you go upstairs to the living area.
It's for two people. One double bedroom, one bathroom with a bath and shower. You can bring a dog or two. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's clean and well-finished, but it's compact. The kitchen is up there in the living space, all open plan with a vaulted ceiling. There's a Smart TV, wifi, a dishwasher, and parking right outside.
You get a small private patio with a table and chairs. The stairs are fairly steep, just so you know.
Location is the main thing. You're a couple of minutes' walk from the middle of Filey. The beach and the promenade are about the same distance the other way. There's a good mix of shops, cafes, and a few pubs. It's handy.
For things to do, the coastal path is right there. Filey Brigg is a good walk. If you drive for about ten minutes, you get to Bempton Cliffs RSPB. It's very good for seabirds.
Within half an hour you can be into the North York Moors National Park, or at Dalby Forest. The North Yorkshire Moors Railway starts in Pickering. Whitby and Scarborough are both about a twenty-minute drive away. York is just under an hour if you fancied a city day.
Everything is included, bedding, towels, electricity. There’s on-site parking and the garden bit is yours.
