The Rise
The Rise is in Scarborough. It’s a first-floor apartment in a big old building that used to be a church. You get nice high ceilings.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms and one bathroom. One room has a double bed, the other has adult-sized bunk beds. There's a travel cot you can ask for. It’s a 3 Star place, so it’s comfortable and clean without being over the top.
You’re about a five minute walk from everything: the South Bay beach, the harbour, the town centre. The main beach is sandy and has all the usual seafront things. The quieter North Bay beach is a longer walk or a short drive.
The bathroom has a bath with a shower over it. The kitchen has what you’d need. There’s a washing machine, TV, and WiFi. Bedding and towels are included. No pets, sorry.
If you want to go further out, the North York Moors are right there for driving or walking. North York Moors National Park has good information. For a day out, you can drive to Whitby in about half an hour.
In Scarborough itself, Peasholm Park is nice for a stroll. The Sea Life Centre is on the seafront. The Open Air Theatre has summer shows. For families, Flamingo Land is about a 30 minute drive away.
